Principal Investigator (NC4SCM)
Dr Tariq Jamil
Dr Tariq Jamil is NC4SCM’s Principal Investigator and an Associate Professor at NED. His research focuses on sustainable construction materials, cement and clay chemistry, and LC³ development in Pakistan.
Co-Principal Investigator (NC4SCM)
Dr Shamsoon Fareed
Dr Shamsoon Fareed is a Professor of Civil Engineering at NED and a Co-Principal Investigator of NC4SCM. His research covers structural engineering, recycled aggregate concrete and strengthening using fibre-reinforced composites.

Prof. Dr. Fayaz Hussain
Prof. Dr. Fayaz Hussain is Professor and Chairman of Materials Engineering at NED and a Co-Principal Investigator of NC4SCM. His research focuses on functional ceramics, material fabrication and characterization.

Engr. Muhammad Owais
Engr. Muhammad Owais holds B.E. and M.E. degrees from NEDUET and is pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering. His research focuses on carbon sequestration using agricultural and industrial wastes, sustainable construction materials, and structural modelling.

Ms. Rumaisa Ali
Rumaisa Ali is a Civil Engineering graduate pursuing a master’s degree in Structural Earthquake Engineering at NED. Her research focuses on LC³, recycled aggregate concrete and sustainable materials for earthquake-resistant construction.

Mr. Azmat Chandio
Azmat Chandio holds degrees in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Mehran University and Materials Engineering from NED. His research combines nanomaterial synthesis, electrochemical testing and low-carbon building solutions.

Ayesha Bint e Arif is a Physics graduate pursuing an MS in Physics at NED University. Her research focuses on computational materials modelling of irradiated systems containing minerals using MD simulations.

Dua Arif is a Physics graduate pursuing an MS in Physics at NED. Her research uses computational simulations to investigate ion adsorption and radiation-induced effects in minerals.

Nousheen Iqbal holds a bachelor’s degree and an MS in Industrial Chemistry. Her research focuses on cement chemistry, hydration, material characterization, and the performance and durability of cement-based materials.

Muhammad Hamza holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. His work as a Research Assistant at NC4SCM focuses on cement and clay chemistry.

Muhammad Umer is a Civil Engineering graduate who joined NC4SCM in July 2026. His research focuses on LC³ and other sustainable cementitious systems, building on his final-year project on limestone calcined clay cement.

Ms. Raazia Imran Reshamwala
Raazia Imran Reshamwala is a Software Engineering undergraduate at NED and Software Engineer (Digital Infrastructure) at NC4SCM. She leads the centre’s main website, headless CMS and conference platform, with responsibility for UI/UX, deployment, SEO and ongoing maintenance.
